Jim Rann

I am Jim Rann an Artist & Activist, living in Provincetown,Ma.USA. My art is mostly painting and mostly Oils,the subject matter is varies figurative, still life, landscape, and Abstracts. I'm a[ways interested in how the painting tells a story and colors,patterns,both geometric and free form. I often paint in series (Sissies & Tomboys-a series of children playing with the "wrong toys"), Provincetown Family Values, The Mollydog Show, to name a few. I am 64 years old I have always made Art and have exhibited my work publicly for the last 15 years in Galleries & at my Studio at Whalers Wharf in Provincetown. I am mostly self-taught but I have taken some classes from Artists I admire. In looking thru the work I show at this site You will see examples of some of the many paintings I love & want to share
