Gay advocates protest Gay marriage ban on California's vote on Proposition 8
Protests following the vote on Proposition 8 in California, which defined marriage as between a man and a woman only. Gay advocates rights supporters waving rainbow colors marched in Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia,Los Angeles,Washington, New York and many other cities Saturday 11/15/2008 to protest the vote on Proposition 8 that banned gay marriage in California. Connecticut and Massachusetts are the only two states that allow gay marriage. "Civil marriages are a civil right, and we're going to keep fighting until we get the rights we deserve as American citizens," said Karen Amico, one of several hundred protesters in Philadelphia, holding up a sign reading "Don't Spread H8". As a Provincetown resident and supporter of gay marriage I believe its time for a change !
