A series of post-election events in Provincetown – Nov. 11-14
The elections have passed, rhetoric done. The time to unite and begin the process of healing is now. We can begin by coming together to talk, sing, write and look towards some of those who have and continue to lead the way. We welcome you to participate in a series of gatherings in Provincetown intended to offer us all a chance to come together. All are a free will offering with the money to go towards good causes. Full Moon Open Mike Series hosted by David Roth Singers, musicians and poets welcome to sign up at 6:30PM. Please bring a piece that promotes unity, respect and getting along. Tuesday, November 11th 7:00PM at WOMR Radio Station 494 Commercial Street (508) 487- 2619. Photo Exhibit of Pete Seeger and Friends by Econosmith An exhibit of photos of the legendary, singer, songwriter, author, environmentalist, activist and champion of human rights, Pete Seeger and some of his friends. Tuesday, 5:00PM at the WOMR Radio Station 429 Commercial Street . The Provincetown Writer’s Voice Café: An Offering of Writings on Peace and Politics Writers of all mediums welcomed to read. Sign up at 6:30PM. Wednesday, November 12th 7:00 PM - upstairs at Napi’s Restaurant, 7 Freeman Street. Political Discussion Group hosted by Peter Okun Come join in the first gathering this fall of the old discussion group to talk about hopes and dreams to move forward after the election. Thursday, November 13th 3:00PM at Purple Feather, 334 Commercial Street (888) 211-7713. Films with a Conscience Series Pete Seeger: The Power of Song A screening of Jim Brown’s insightful look at the life of Pete Seeger. A slide show of photos of Pete by Provincetown Photographers Econosmith will also be shown.
