Provincetown 17th Annual Helping Our Women Art Auction

17th Annual Helping Our Women Art Auction will be held Friday October 17th in the Tiffany Room at The Provincetown Inn. The Silent Art Auction will be held from 2pm to 6pm featuring a selection of artwork, eclectic items for the home, prints and gift certificates for goods and services. The Live Auction will be held at 7pm with auctioneer Jim Bakker that will feature fine art by well known Cape artists : Rick Fleury, Barbara Cohen, Joanne Dugan, Norma Holt, Lynn Mogell, Lorraine Rosenbaum, Dorothy Strauss, Jane Winter, Kaolin Davis, J. Gerrity, Karen Harding, Duane Slick, Selina Trieff.Helping Our Women (HOW) was formed in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1992 as a response to the lack of services available to women with chronic and life threatening illness. In 1993, HOW opened a resource and referral center, acquired non-profit 501(c)3 status, and incorporated. HOW's original focus was serving women with cancer, but in 1994, was expanded to include all women diagnosed with chronic and life threatening illness.
