In 2007, the Provincetown Dog Park Association, Inc. had a vision and a goal: to build a safe and fun off-leash dog park for our residents and visitors, and help bring tourists and tourism dollars to our town. In 2010, Provincetown was awarded dog friendliest town in America, and Pilgrim Bark Park was recognized as the 2nd best dog park in the country by Dog Fancy Magazine! But the best compliment is when people say they don’t know who enjoys the park more, their dogs or themselves! Unlike many other public dog parks, Pilgrim Bark Park receives no tax-payer dollars. The park was built entirely with donations and grants and now relies on the same for its on-going yearly maintenance. It costs approximately $13,500 to keep the park supplied with poop bags, insurance, electricity for irrigation, water for the fountains, sand and pea stone replenishment for the general and small dog sections, gravel for the driveway, maintenance of the park’s elements (repairs, painting, etc.), landscaping, taxes, accountant, filing fees, and website maintenance.
We ask that you sign up as a FRIEND for $25.00 to insure that we have sufficient funds to keep Pilgrim Bark Park open and maintained.
